The flight went as well as it could go and we landed and found ourselves in a new place and with in minuters Howie announced that we had passed over the Ecuator, so now we are on the otherside of the world. The camp is a beautiful place and it was so good to re-connect with good friends. Howie was telling us that we’ll be in the desert area of Quito, but for us it’s like a jungle—Green, Green, Greeeeen!! We’ll be sleeping in a cute little cabin that is complete with squeaky floors and a wood burning stove and it was recently renovated and it looks great! We are at the 10,000 foot level so even a walk to Howie and Mary’s place is a little work out, but we hope to adjust to the elevation quickly. I’ve downed 3 chapters already and I love the book, although it has a very sad beginning. Today we’ll head off to do some shopping and sight seeing, and then Monday we’ll get started on some work.
We have had some good visiting and we’ve also meet with some of the other staff members that work here. It is odd being back in a “camp” enviorment and we look forward to hearing of the blessings and to also hear of the hardships as we know from experience that at times it’s a tough life to live. OK, more to come later and for those that have stopped by to follow up–THANK YOU!

Dennis, I wrote to your Plaxo but you may have already left. I was requesting you to give our love to the Scholls and tell them Michele and I pray for them every day. Did you meet Howard and Mary through the Bear Valley group. One day Michele and I hope to also visit Ecuador and the Scholls. We are praying for your safety and enjoy Ecuador.
