We are OFFICIAL!!!

Good Bye to Calle Isla Maria 132

No we are not moving, but, well, we now have an official certified street address, yes, we finally got this done. When we first moved into the little Ex-ejido Chapultapec there was not much of anything here including no electricity, no water, and no telephone lines. Our address was simply Section 9,Parcel 11, lot 11. Then our little community came up with a name for our little area which is Vista Al Mar, kind of like being in an un-incorporated community, they call them Colonias or some other word I can’t spell out. Then there was this big community meeting (party) that we missed because we were gone for the holidays and they handed out street names and addresses and ours was Calle Isla Marias 132.

All was good until came the time to prepare for official title and deeds to be proceeded and again our community had a meeting and although I could not be there Debbie and Nicki showed up. This meeting was to basically say that if you are not happy with the street names and such, or the name of our little community to speak up now, or it will be too late. At this time everyone spoke up about two streets and one of them was ours because come to find out Isla Marias is an Island that had a prison on it and it was not a happy place. So as ideas came out for a new Street name Nicki our oldest daughter spoke up and said “How about Isla Tiburon?!” Everyone I guess knoded their heads, a vote was cast, their was cheering, and the party raged on until 3 am over the name of our new street——well no, actually there was no party the a Vote and everyone loved the idea of “Shark Island”.

But… Now we have a new name, but all of our documents have all of the old information on them. This becomes a big hassle when it comes time to take care of official matters (which we are doing now) and I think for some time now we will feel the ripple affect of this. We’ve change the infomation on our phone bill, electric bill and such and it is quiet the process. I can’t wait to go through the process to amend our fm3!
