This week we started a new stage to the new building at Las Tres Palmas. With groups hitting the 40-50 numbers we finally realized that we needed some more room, so we started construction last Spring and here we are—-Rolling Trusses! This is also a project that I’ve kind of handed over to Sergio and he’s been doing much of the work and now he has his able and trusted assistant Neil. After a couple days of building trusses we finally got to the point of lifting them into place and it’s not to hard of a job, it’s just being way up there in the air that can get to ya. With all of the trusses on and secure the next step will be to lay the sheeting on top and then the roofing tiles.

Neil has been a big blessing to Deb and I and we can’t begin to talk about how well Sergio and Neil work together. Sergio’s English has also excelled now that he’s taking classes and working everyday with Neil. We’ve never had an intern during the off season, but it’s turning out to a very good deal and we enjoy having Neil here with us,,,,,finally another guy in the house.

So please pray for us as we head up to do more work and we’ll need protecting hands as we climb around up there in the air. This project is being constructed to fill the needs of those that come and serve, so if possible we could always use help as we purchase these materials. If you are interested in financially helping or sending a group down just email me at dennis@ltpalmas.org.  And a big thanks needs to go out to Bear Valley Community and Cornerstone Community for their participation and help.
