On our way home from the missions conference we spent some time with Bird, no, not a Bird, the one and only–”BIRD!!”. You see in High School I got to know this guy that walked around with a brief case and sat across from me in Geometry,,,Mr. Skallar’s class I believe. Anyway we got to be good friends and we shared our passions in photography and we talked how one day we’d skip off to Brooks Inst. of Photography,,,but it never happened. We called Bird  “Bird”, but his real name was Don Beirdneau, so for short we just called him “Bird”. I had many special memories of Bird, but there is one story that tops them all and most likely holds one of our most special memories of mine and Deb’s Honeymoon—but in order for me to tell the story you will need to comment on this and say “Please Dennis, tell us the story of how Don spent time with you on your Honeymoon night!!

Anyway, Mucho water has pasted under the bridge and although we’ve communicated via email and facebook it’s been a long time

Lisa and Donald

since I’ve seen Don,,,hummm the 20 year reunion I think. Anyway, it was time for a visit and seeing that he lives in San Jose with his wife Lisa we just had to drop in on him to see how he was doing.

Don and Lisa seem to be doing great! We pretty much sat and talked, and Lisa showed Debbie her beautiful back yard and I got to see the Kitty litter Robot! But the real treat came when Don took me to Apple’s HQ right there in Silicon Valley. Don has been with Apple Computers for a few years now. He probably still doesn’t think it was that big of a deal for me, but it was as I’m a techy nutty kind of guy. I could have spent the day with him, but I’m sure he doesn’t want some wanna-be Tech guy hanging around with drool hanging out of his mouth.

We returned to a perfect meal prepared by the ladies and then went for

a nice walk somewhere by the Winchester Mystery House. We walked and walked—guys a bit faster, not as chatty as the girls, and then we all agreed to frozen yogurt to top off the evening.  So yes it was great to visit with Don, Lisa, and Spice the cat, Growly the cat , and the Orange cat who’s name I don’t remember.

Oh yea,,,just one more thing. Bird sent me home with something that is going to transfrom our house into a Apple!
