Oh my, you must be saying,,,,,Dennis and Debbie went to Las Vegas for Thanks Giving!?!?!?! Well,,,yes we did! The trip actually started with a visit with our good friends at Oasis High Desert Church in Hisperia. We were invited to share what it was like as we made sacrifices to come on the mission field and we also talked about our trip to Ecuador. The actual point of what we shared is answering the big question,,,Was it worth it?? And of course the answer was YES!!! It was an great pleasure to speck to our friends at Oasis and we look forward to visiting with them again in the future.

As we waved good-bye we headed east on I-15 for Viva Las Vegas and I must say that it was a perfect trip that was filled with many great memories and it was the type of trip moreĀ  people need to have when they go to Vegas. I know you must be thinking,,,did we hit it big on the slot machines?, or did we had a lucky throw of the dice?,,,well, no, it was much better than that, you see our time with family is what was more important than buffets, the strip or any of that other stuff, and we had a great visit with family! We stayed at my brother Tim’s place and had some two great nights playing dominoes, and there was some playing on the Play Station with two of my Nephew’s, Kobe and Nat. We also hopped across town to my sister Pat’s where her and one of my oldest Nephew’s Rand lives and my Great Niece and Nephew was there as well. Everything seemed to go perfect and I mean from the Cowboy’s winning, two free shows, a trip to Chucky Cheese, andĀ  Mom’s green bean casserole, so yea, we ate real good. I even got to replace some light switches, climb a ladder in the rain to look for a leak, and fix a toilet! And for those that really know me know that I love doing that type of stuff.

Most likely thou, our best night came as we all loaded up and headed to the bowling ally with the Niece’s, Nephew’s and Nana Fran. There was something special about being there seeing all of these generations all wrapped up into one great night and yes, there was even Kobe’s crazy victory dances the stunned the crowds. It was a time to be Uncle Dennis and Aunt Debbie and enjoy getting beat up on the Xbox, playing “Go Fish”, going to the air show that was located on the living room floor and having little heads fall asleep on you. I must say that all in all at times Vegas can get a bad wrap as being Sin City, but for us during this week it was “God’s Blessings” in the form of family.

Pictured here is Kobe, Me, Noah, and Nat. Three Little Great reasons to be thankful.

We are thankful for all of you that have supported and backed us for the years past and we appreciate the partnership that we have establised. At times it can be difficult, but as I talked about earlier, the sacrafice was worth it, and with sacrafice we often see that many opportunities exsist, we just have to take that step of faith and trust God. Thank you all, God Bless and Happy Thanks Giving!!
