In 1993 we purchased out Dream truck, and the truck was going to pull our boat and haul the camper, but things changed. With in a short time we we were here in Baja and our beautiful truck was soon hauling utility trailers, dirt, rocks, blocks, cement bags…and the list goes on. Just the other day I was racing over to the hardware store and I noticed a drop in oil pressure,,,,not good, then the clatter clatter of the valves due to no oil. We limped her home and did a small bit of trouble shotting, but soon after a bit of work, fresh oil, and a new filter we hit the road again only to get the same results—a drop in pressure.
So most likely what has happened is that the crank and rod bearings have worn out enough that the oil is just flying through and eventually not allowing any oil pressure build up,,,which means,,,,Pull the motor and rebuild it, or replace it with a crate engine (assembled and ready to go). Or one other option is to get another truck,,,,but I don’t think we have the funds for that.
This will be a major expense for us, I’m guessing in the $2000.00 range once all the work is done===Ouch! So please keep this in prayer as many of you know how much we depend on the truck.

Well back in the old days when engines got wore out and started using oil, they just went to a heavier oil… and then sold it quickly. have you tried 90 wt oil yet? I got a 4 sale sign.

Great news! We’ve had some reply that have come in that will be a big help in getting the truck up and running again. Currently it’s in the shop and tomorrow we will have a full assesment of what needs to be done and how to go about it. Hopefully we’ll have her up and running by the end of the month,,,then I can get back to work on ALL the other things left to be done. God is Good, and FAITHFUL!!!!
