Finally, our delivery from ARLA came in and now we have some Steel Studs!
The summer is off and running and the project that we are currently working on is going GREAT! We have a group here from Galt, CA–Horizon Community Church’s Family Trip. Although I must say that it has been at times a choppy road getting here, but the work has begun, Ready-Or-Not! We started the year off with 13 groups scheduled to come and that meant 14-15 house building projects, but we ended up with only 8 dedicated groups that knew that no matter what the Media had to Spin that the Lord was in control, not them. So for us every group that comes down this year is an extra Blessing to our lives in a personal way, and I know they are a especially a blessing to the families they have come to serve.
Some of the building funds did arrive and that meant we were out shopping for bulk supplies just two days before our first group, and then we had to work around the “well,,,we don’t have that much in Stock” situation, but I guess I need to realize that Jesus is in control and he got the materials here as we needed them—”Oh me of little faith”

This last Sunday we also headed up to pick up our second intern from the States, Ashley Wallenberg from Apple valley Ca and she joins up with Alex Truelove who is from Little Rock Arkansas. Both have been here before working on house projects, and we are very excited to have them with us. Alex has actually been here for two weeks and he has been helping us get ready for the summer, helped with the BIG ARLA STEEL STUD DELIVERY, helping with Javier’s house, and getting used to putting Lime and Chili on everything he eats. So now with two interns in the Van we proceeded to get the last few supplies we needed, visit In~N~Out, and grab our machined engine block and head home.
With just about everything set we some what just needed to wait for the group to show up, and Sunday afternoon they did! They settled in and it was off to the taco stand which is an other “wake up Dennis! Summer is here!” kind of moment. So we are excited to start this summer and to get things rolling and I’m also excited to be able to use this Blog to share our summer with you. I’m way behind on some things I’d like to post and I’ll do my best to catch you up on things such as…Our trip to Big Bear, The Baja 500 Race, and of course a Plymouth Update.
