Huge Day on Eday!! We are so stoked! Being that we are working on a car from the early 60’s you just can’t go down to Auto Zone and get what you want, or order stuff from an online store. The Chrome trim on the car is very hard to come by and there are pieces I’ve been hunting for ever since we started working on it. I remember asking my Dad about some of the items that seemed to be missing and he tried to remember where he might have put them, and I’m sure he felt a little helpless in not being able to help locate them. Eventually I had a picture of the car being wheeled out of the old garage and you could see where a piece was missing, so some of this stuff was missing long before my Dad even started to work on it.

Anyway, finally Ebay Item #360145668344 was there staring me right in the face—Passenger side Chrome Rocker Molding 75″x2 1/2″s, only the second time I’ve seen this piece on Ebay in over 4 years. The first time was two weeks ago and it was for both sides and they sold for over $200.00! I held my breath as the seconds counted down and them my Bid Sniper took over with 4 seconds to go and I got the one piece for————–>>>>> $31.00!!! Yea Baby!

So next week will be like Christmas as I also have a Hood Spear coming in that will replace the broken one, and the new Rocker Molding. Now, I have one piece left to go,,passenger side,  rear  window, exterior chrome trim that looks like a hockey stick. The hunt continues,,,but boy, we bagged a huge piece today–I love Ebay!
