blow like crazy, but it looked OK so we paddled beyond the break and headed to the point. A beautiful day and it felt so good to be back in the water. We new of one ship wreak, but had no idea of the other one that was out there. Deb and I talked of some of the possibilities that lead to this wreak and we came to the conclusion that no matter what happened—it’s no fun to see your boat in this shape. Maybe their Morin broke loose and everyone was sleeping, maybe the motor died and they got caught in the current, or—maybe some one made the decision to Zig when they should have Zagged. One wonders if the one boat will end up like the other and only time will tell.
I think there’s times in life when we can look at troubled situations in life and wonder how we got where we are and try to analyze the situation and a few things can come of our Pondering—-We can blame other people, We can claim total innocence, we can simply deny the situation, or come to the conclusion that we messed up—but not matter what we decide, what do we do next?
I remember a time when I drove my new truck through a patch of snow (Ice) and it got stuck and we were about 8 miles out in the wilderness, it was cold, Nicki and Cassie were like 4 and 3, and it just wasn’t a good situation. Deb and I worked on it for a while with all kinds of different techniques and nothing worked. It would have been a great opportunity for Debbie to yell and scream at me, and a great time to yell back, but we both knew who messed up and only one fact remained—get the truck unstuck. As I walked my Grandfathers land looking for a solution I found a hugh 4 wheel drive vehicle that was used to haul Giante Christmas trees, but there was no battery, who knew if it had gas, and what were the chances that it would even kick over. I walked all the way back to my truck, pulled out the battery of our truck and as I walked away Debbie had this funny look on her face and before she could say anything I said “I’ll be right back”.
I climbed up on the bumper of the giant truck, hooked up my battery and Whaaa-Laaa, the beast fired right up. As I crawled over the crest of this hill Debbie and the girls stood there with a look on their face that was simply priceless. With not much said we hooked up our truck to the Beast Tree Hauler and pulled the Ford out, and proceeded to cook up some hotdogs and then head back home to my Grandparents.
So we can always just sit and just stay stuck and throw the blames around, or we can dig, help, exhaust all knowladge, and when all seems lost we can take a walk with Jesus and see what he has to say,,,,and who knows he might also lead you to a Giant Tree Hauler. And just remeber this…..
It can ALWAYS be worce
