Hummmm what's in the B-Day Wrapping?

Yes, if you heard it was my B-day you were correct, and I’d like to thank all of you well wishers out there for your notes, emails and special gifts,,,yea, even the one left by my Gate! I had a great time and the grand event was dinner with Nicki, Cassie, Nick (Cassie’s BF), Tena & Dasha (Nicki’s dogs), and of course Debbie. Deb and I had some material shopping to do for the next group so we made a trip out of it and met Nicki and Cassie in San Diego and we hooked up at Phil’s BBQ. Oh my word! What a smack down of food we had. We are a rib loving family so we ordered up some Ribs and our faithful Vegetarian daughter Nicki ate her Vegi-Burger. It was lip smacking, finger licking food, and they are serious

about how sloppy the eating is because as you walk out there’s a huge stainless steel sink for you to clean up at.

Now these are what I call Ribs!

Next we all headed over to Old Town San Diego and did a bit of walking around and we found a nice quiet place to drink down a warm Mocha, and eat some ice cream. It was a great night with the Girls and Nick. I got some nice gifts from them as Nicki got me some Ebay bucks (for some needed tools) and Cassie got me a new tool bag specially for the Plymouth tools.

Tuesday Night Vicki came over and surprised us with a platter full of Chili Rellienos, rice, salsa and home made chili. They were so good! A good friend by the name of Gilberto also came over to say Hi and brought over a very cool DVD set of the 41st running of the Baja 1000.  So turning 48 was not so bad and we had a great time with everyone. Now come the reality of thinking that I’m only two years away from 50!
