Well, if Costco and WalMart can do it, then so can I. I always shake my head as I walk into Costco and see that as early as October we see all the Christmas stuff getting put out on the floor, so I thought we could kind of do the same thing, but the purpose would be for a good cause. This last summer we started Javier’s house and yes, we (RLM)are still working on it bit by bit
and I thought I could compile a Christmas Wish List for Javier and his Dad’s home. Some and most of this work would need to be done in order for them to fully move in, and how nice it would be to try to make this happen by Christmas, so maybe give it a thought and this could even be a group contribution. Today we returned from San Diego with 10 sticks of copper piping, some fittings, Shower hardware, Washing machine water shut off insert, and all due to a gift we received from Don and Hootie Hill. Also, I’m attaching a video of the first week of construction and I’m Shocked that there’s only 231 views, and two comments! Come on folks, this project deserves more than that, this is about Real Life, Sacrifices, some scary moments, and many tears were shed at the entire project (I still need to edit Horizon’s week on the house) . How is it that a video about making Root Beer Chicken has more views???
OK, so on with the list of some of the items still needed.
Counter tops, Toilet, Sink, Small Washing machine, Couch or love seat, Drop-in stove top, Small Energy Eff. Fridg., TV, Ceiling fan/light combo, Orthapidec mattresses, Flooring (plywood under layment and tiles), and a Partridge in a pear tree. If you are interested just Email me, dennis@ltpalmas.org
PS…Feel free to take a look at some of our other videos,,,and yea, the root beer chicken as well!

Hey Dennis and Debbie, (and yes, also all viewers)
Yes, What you (Dennis) said about this project is totally true…it was awsome (actually one of the best experiences I have had) was working, building, this house for Javier and his dad. I mean I HAVE seen great need in my life, but usually that comes along with complaints…or expectation…but what I saw in Javier and Pascuel, well, it truly moved me (and I can truly say this was one time when i was both glad to be the translator at the moment….but also I had the desire to just stand by and LISTEN…I mean he may be crippled and handicapped…BUT spiritually he (Javier) was ALIVE!! Something I truly wish for in myself!!) i would say that this ONE project just brought total meaning to my summer.
This is all to say for those of you who are not totally sure about it…I’ll tell you…If you were only to meet and talk with him….IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!!!
Dios Les Bendiga.
