¿Quéonda Vato? (what’s up dude), well kind of, but yea, Deb and I loaded up a couple teens and headed out in the Plymouth for a car show that took place in Ensenada and it was actually a very nice show. Now, a bit different for us as most of the cars were Lowriders and of course most of the people there were from the lowride’n culture, which is not a bad thing,,,,just a bit different. The music was thumping and the Yo Yo Yo Big Daddy in du House type of music, but ya see I’m mostly leaning on the American Muscle end of car culture, so something more like the Beach Boys, or some Blues playing in the back ground would have been more to
my taste along with a bunch of guys walking around in Hawiian Camp shirts, or MoPar shirts. Still though it was a very interesting time and all those that were there seemed to be very polite, patient, and respectful—well that is when it came to viewing the cars.
We were invited to go by a member of our church who is the owner of a 56′ Chevy Pickup and belongs to the car club that sponsered the event. knowing that we had the Plymouth he very much wanted us to come and take part in the show and I must say that the Lowriding community showed their respects by taking plenty of pictures of the Fury, plus not to mention just plain—”Ccchecking it out Homes!” We even got a
personal invitation from the President of Familia Sureña Car Club to come to a meeting and to think of joining the club—so if you ever see me dancing to hip-hop, and referring to Debbie as my Ol’ Lady then you’ll know we joined the club—-but I’ll never turn the Fury into a Lowrider, American Muscle all the way!!
We had a good time checking out the different types of cars that were there and they had clubs and car entusiest from all over Northern Baja and the US there showing off their stuff. One interesting thing I found kind of different was the fact that everyone had the hoods of their cars down,,hummmm, strange. From what cruise-In’s and car shows we’ve been to most of
everyone opens the hoods as to of course show off what motors your pride and joy. Strange, but just something else we term as different and simply–well,,,open our hood.
Although this was our last cruise for a while to come we had a great time and hope to be back to showing Dona’s 63 to the world by this time next year—why you ask?? Well, just check out the posting on top of this one.
OK Homes, we’ll Cccheck you lader —-Odaleeeeyyyyyyy!!
